YOUR ADVENTURE: part 13

You fill the kettle up, wander to a nearby socket and plug it in. It’s a little slow but honestly you’re thankful for the brief pause in action. Slowly you see a bit of steam rise up from the kettle. 

‘What a smart person I am’ you whisper to yourself.

But there’s a problem... as more steam comes from the kettle a whistling noise joins it. Only too late do you realise how much noise the kettle is beginning to make! In a panic you run over and take the kettle off the stand... you hold still for a moment when suddenly you feel hot breath on the back of your neck. You turn around and see the dragon's head at the kitchen door.

‘Fancy a brew?’ you squeak

Sadly it seems that the dragon didn't want any tea as the last thing you see is it’s mouth open and a huge ball of fire come flying towards you. On the plus side one memory does return to you during these final moments... it is that you’re not fireproof. The dragon leaves you on the kitchen floor doing a most excellent impression of burnt pork chop.

No more adventure for you.
